Once you’ve made your choice in our store, we’ll talk to you about order timescales, or if your item is to be delivered from stock we’ll discuss convenient delivery dates and times. If you need old furniture taking away, please talk to us about that too, as we are happy to help, subject to a small charge. We confirm your delivery dates by telephone.
Our own delivery team take care of bringing your furniture inside your home, so you don’t have to worry about unwrapping, lifting or manoeuvring it yourself. (Excluding self-assembly furniture)
Your furniture will arrive wrapped in protective packaging to guard it against damage. Before we bring it inside, we protect your floors too. Then we unwrap and position the item where you want it (subject to clear access) and take away the packaging for recycling.
To make sure that everything is to your satisfaction, while our delivery team is with you, we ask you to examine the goods and sign for them. If you feel they are defective in any way, you should tell the team member who will note it on the documentation and you will be contacted within 48 hours by our Customer Services Department.
Our delivery charges are as follows:
- Within the city of York boundary – £20.00
- Within 30 mile radius of the store – £30.00
- Within 40 mile radius of the store – £40.00
- Delivery beyond 40 mile radius will be quoted individually
- Ask us about charges for taking away old furniture
